چکیده

Hymenoptera allergens are the main triggers for anaphylaxis in susceptible dogs and humans. venom specific immunotherapy (VIT), only disease-modifying treatment, has potential to prevent future life-threatening reactions human patients. Prospective clinical data on VIT efficacy currently lacking. Therefore, aim of this study was show that is not safe but also efficacious preventing allergic Hymenoptera. This uncontrolled prospective trial included 10 client-owned with a history following repeated stings. The sensitization bee wasp demonstrated by intradermal testing (IDT) allergen-specific IgE serology. For induction (induction phase), received shortened rush protocol aqueous allergens, which then followed monthly injections 100 µg alum-precipitated allergen (maintenance phase). determined observing patients’ re-stings. No systemic adverse events were seen during maintenance phases. From seven re-stung dogs, one developed mild angioedema at site sting; remaining asymptomatic. These results represents effective treatment option Hymenoptera-allergic dogs.
